To help people understand more about the beauty and the culture of Hakka music, Kung Ta gave up a normal, stable life and decided to dive into the world of music and found work as a street artist, funeral singer, TV talent show challenger, radio host, and so on. These experiences broadened his horizon and let his work be filled with diversity.
After beginning his career by singing with an acoustic guitar, Kung Ta now interstates his music with a variety of genres, including Indie folk, Lofi Beat, HipHop, EDM, and more;
From the ancestry of Hakka and the predetermined binding force of the people he came across, his very first album, [00], was two years in the making. Kung Ta Captured what he felt and observed in his daily life into his music.
In 2022, Kung Ta is the nominee for the 33rd Golden Melody Award “Best Hakka Performance’’.
