Cicada

Cicada is a nature-inspired quartet that consists of violin, cello, piano, and acoustic guitar. They were nominated for the 31st GMA (Golden Melody Awards) in the category of “Best Album Producer for Instrumental Music” and won the 46th Japan Academy Prize for “Outstanding Achievement in Film Music.” The band’s name, Cicada, derives from the fact that people often become aware of the presence of cicadas by hearing their sound rather than seeing their form. Their compositions transition from the ocean to the mountains, using musical notes to present Taiwan’s natural beauty to listeners worldwide.
